The Osaka Prefectural Police Department, through the Sakai City Police Station, reported the arrest of a 43-year-old man on suspicion of stealing one of a high school girl's uniforms from the locker room. The police mentioned that Takashi Sato, a part-time worker from the city of Hirakata, who was arrested on November 30, admitted the charges, according to the Sankei Shimbun newspaper. He was quoted as saying: "I did it to satisfy my wish.
According to the police, Sato broke into the public preparatory school facilities around 1:15 p.m. on October 19. She then entered the gym and went to the women's locker room, where she broke a locker and stole the school uniform of one of the students (valued at around 18,000 yen or approximately $ 173).
Police also mentioned that Sato received an arrest warrant for a burglary charge at another school on November 16. When their home was searched, they found more than 100 gym uniforms and school outfits. The police are investigating the provenance of these changing rooms, but everything indicates that they were also stolen from other facilities.
