Singer Konomi Suzuki to pause her activities in December

The singer Konomi Suzuki announced through her Twitter account that she will pause her activities from December due to the fact that she will undergo surgery for nodules on the vocal cords. Suzuki mentioned in his post: "I got sick (referring to the nodules on the vocal cords) about four years ago, but finally I made up my mind (referring to surgery) so that I could continue singing for a longer time, much more from now on" .

Suzuki plans to return to his singing activities to perform during the Animax Musix event, scheduled to take place in Tokyo on January 31, 2021. In fact, on October 9 in Japan he broadcast a live concert entitled “Suzuki Konomi Live 2020 ~ Single Collection ~ ”, whose tickets were sold out in just ten days.

Originally, Suzuki had planned to perform this concert within the “Suzuki Konomi 6th Live Tour ~ Unveil ~” tour, in three cities in Japan in June this year. However, this tour was postponed until spring 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, Konomi Suzuki released his eighteenth single, entitled "Realize," which was used as the opening theme for the second season of the anime adaptation of the Re: Zero light novels kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu. The single was released in Japan on August 26, and it ranked 38th on Oricon's weekly rankings, with 1,908 copies sold.
