On the other hand, Atsushi Nishigori is an animator, designer of characters, director of animation and Japanese general director born in September 1978. He worked at the Gainax Studies, participating in the production of FLCL and other projects. He also participated in the design of characters from the original Anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, which brought him different recognitions.

He served as director of The Idolmaster in 2011 and some other films of the franchise in the following years. In 2018 he debuts as director with the original production of Darling in The Franxx, which he performed in conjunction with the Trigger, Cloverworks and A-1 Studios Pictures. As the article points out, he also participated as an animation director in the film Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon to Time.
