On the official site for the light novel series written by Nishio Ishin and illustrated by Vofan, Bakemonogatari, it was announced that the manga adaptation by Oh! Great !, has exceeded 2.4 million cumulative circulating copies in its ten compilation volumes published to date.
Oh! Great began publishing the manga in Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2018. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume earlier today in Japan. On the other hand, Bakemonogatari comprises the first and second volumes of the Monogatari Series light novel saga, and was published between November and December 2006 by the Kodansha publishing house.
The play inspired a fifteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Shaft Studios, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and scripts written by Muneo Nakamoto, released in July 2009.
