A few days ago, a controversy was started by a small group of Twitter users regarding a promotional manga titled "Oyako Seimen" and published by the instant ramen manufacturer Maruchan Seimen. The controversy claimed that the manga had “macho” tendencies because the father of the family, after preparing a dish of instant ramen for himself and his son, decided to wait for his wife to wash the dishes, instead of doing it himself.
Although the company issued an apology for the inconvenience caused, and although some were already celebrating the cancellation of this promotional work, the entity recently released a statement that was applauded by many.
“We have received various opinions regarding our promotional campaign 'Oyako Seimen'. We take your opinions seriously, and after carefully reviewing the content, we have decided to continue with its publication starting next November 25 ”.
The company added a response requesting that the authors of the work not be attacked: “Additionally, since these original works, both in synopses and dialogues, are released under our responsibility for the chapters« Fuufu Seimen »and« Oyako Seimen » , we ask that you refrain from making comments to anyone other than us. Thanks for your cooperation".
