Dandadan would have until a second season

A recent leak claimed that the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, "Dandadan," will get a second season. It should be noted that the series has not yet premiered, as it is scheduled for the Fall-2024 season (October-December).

It is also important to mention that it is possible that this is not a "second season", but a "second part", as has been trending in the anime industry in recent years. However, not all fans have been positive about this type of execution, as separating an adaptation into two parts only makes the project lose interest during the time it takes for the second part to arrive.

Yukinobu Tatsu began publishing the manga through Shueisha's Shonen Jump Plus digital service in April 2021, where it is still in serialization. Tatsu is also the author of other serialized works such as "Seigi no Rokugou" and "Fire Ball!", as well as one-shots such as "Yamada Kiki Ippatsu" in 2019 and "Renai Saibaihou" in 2015.

Synopsis of Dandadan

After being aggressively rejected, Momo Ayase finds herself angry when she stumbles upon a boy who is being bullied. Saved by her reckless kindness, the occult-obsessed boy tries to talk to her about supernatural interests he believes they share. Rejecting her claims, Ayase proclaims that she is, instead, a believer in ghosts, starting an argument between the two about which one is real. In a bid to determine who is right, the two decide to visit separately places related to the occult and the supernatural: Ayase visits the former and the boy the latter.

When the two arrive at their respective places, it turns out that neither of them was wrong and that both the occult and the ghosts exist. This marks the beginning of the adventure of Ayase and the boy, who shares a name with Ayase's favorite idol, Ken Takakura, as they try to fix the surreal supernatural and sci-fi elements around them to get back to a normal life.
