On the official site for the two-part animated project based on the spin-off novels written by Yuichiro Higashide under the supervision of Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by NOCO, Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet, it was announced that the soundtrack for the project It will be released in Japan on March 24.
The music album will include both the instrumental soundtrack and the opening and closing music tracks, which include the track “Infermata” by Gou Sakabe, “Only Wish” by Luiza and “Precious” by RinamooN. These last two were the closing themes for each of the two parts of the project, respectively. Thus, a total of 17 songs will be included in this release, which will be priced at just 2,500 yen (about $ 24).
The project allowed two films, the first titled Date A Bullet: Dead or Bullet opened in Japanese theaters on August 14, while the second titled Date A Bullet: Nightmare or Queen premiered on November 13. On the other hand, the light novels are published through Fujimi Shobo publishing house's Fantasia Bunko imprint and are scheduled to end with their eighth volume soon.
- Jun Nakagawa was in charge of directing the animated project at Geek Toys Studios.
- Yuichiro Higashide served as writer and script supervisor, and the original work is credited.
- Naoto Nakamura was in charge of the character design and adaptation to animation, based on the original NOCO designs.
- Gou Sakabe was in charge of composing the instrumental song "Infermata" which was the opening theme for both films.
