DAYS manga will end this month
A renowned Japanese leaker confirmed that the manga written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, DAYS, will come to an end in this year's eighth edition of Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine, scheduled to be launched in Japan on January 20. .
Yasuda began publishing the manga through Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine in April 2013. The publisher published the fortieth compiled volume on October 16, followed by the forty-first on December 17 in Japan. As of August 2020, the work had reported having exceeded 10 million copies in circulation.
The play also inspired an anime adaptation of 24 episodes and five OVAs, produced by MAPPA studios under the direction and scripts written by Kounosuke Uda, released in July 2016. A spin-off manga titled DAYS Gaiden is published through the service Kodansha Magazine Pocket since October 2016.
Weak, clumsy and shy, Tsukushi Tsukamoto is the main target of abusers. Although he suffers the torment of it, it leads him to a fateful encounter with his high school classmate, Jin Kazama, a genius soccer player his own age. After saving Tsukamoto from bullies, Kazama invites him to a futsal match, as his team is missing a member. Although he struggles to play on par with more experienced players, Tsukamoto is passionate and persistent, so much so that he doesn't even an injured foot prevents him from running across the field. His endless runs and his continued efforts inspire the team, particularly the already unmotivated Kazama. When Tsukamoto scores the winning goal, he realizes that he quite enjoys this sport, as well as playing alongside Kazama.
