The author Aya Kanno revealed through his Twitter account that the manuscript of the Final Chapter of Manga Baraou No Souretsu (Requiem of the Rose King) was finished, indicating that it is about to end. Kanno also pointed out that she is considering writing a parallel story or a prequel once the main story finishes, but she has not taken the final decision.
On the other hand, Kanno began the publication of the manga in the princess magazine of the Editorial Akita Shoten in November 2013. The publisher published the tenth reciprocatory volume in February 2020, followed by the fourth one on September 16 in Japan.
The work is inspiring an adaptation to the anime produced by the jcstaff studios, under the direction of Kentarou Suzuki (Kud Waffter, Satsuriku no Tenshi) and scripts written by Hiroki Uchida (Panzerjagd no fantasy, SchwarzesMarzesmarken, Suisei No Gargantia: Mizuhana No Bellows) , scheduled for the autumn season-2021 (October-December).
