Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time premiere will be delayed
On the official Twitter account of the Neon Genesis Evangelion multimedia project, it was announced that the premiere of the film Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time (Shin Evangelion Gekijouban: ||), the fourth and last part of the Rebuild of Evangelion film project , it will be delayed indefinitely. The production declared that the postponement of the premiere responds to the new state of emergency declared on January 8 in four prefectures, which recently increased to eleven, encompassing more than half of the population of Japan.
The production also noted that a new release date will be revealed soon and that the release of the CD “Shiro Sagisu Music from“ SHIN EVANGELION ”, originally scheduled for February 10, will also be delayed for a date that will be announced soon.
It was previously reported that the midnight screenings of the film, planned for fifteen cinemas in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo for next January 23. Although the film could have been released even with the state of emergency in place with limited functions, the production has decided not to risk the possible profits of the feature film. Finally, this film was scheduled for next January 23 in Japan, after being delayed from its most recent original release date, also due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scheduled for June 27, 2020.

Neon Genesis Evangelion Synopsis
In 2015, the world is on the brink of destruction.
