Developer Mages announced that it is developing a new video game for the Gotoubun no Hanayome franchise, which is based on the manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. The game will be titled Gototoubun no Hanayome ∬ ~ Summer Memories mo Gotoubun and will be released on March 25, 2021 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles in Japan.
This title will feature an original story that revolves around the "exciting life of the Nakano sisters on a desert island." The voice actresses participating in the anime series will reprise their roles in the game and will also sing the musical themes which are titled Minami Kaze and Summer Days.
Negi Haruba published the Gotoubun no Hanayome manga in Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine between August 2017 and February 2020. The publisher compiled the work into a total of fourteen volumes and in April 2020 the color reprint of the manga began work directly in volume format, with the ninth scheduled for December 18.
The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Tezuka Productions Studios, under the direction of Satoshi Kuwabara and released in January 2019. A second season is produced by Bibury Animation Studios and will premiere in January 2021.
