Music unit 7/22 has released their new music video for their upcoming single titled “Boku ga Motteru Mono nara”, which features Chiharu Hokaze as Reika Sato in the group. The colorful music video was directed by renowned Cencoroll director Atsuya Uki, who is best known for some of the best anime designs within the industry.
Uki was not the only recognized member of the industry in this production, Yukiko Horiguchi, the character designer and director of animation of K-On! and Tamako Market was the animation director on this music video. Yusuke Takeda, the art director for the Vinland Saga, Jujutsu Kaisen Openings, and Pokémon: Twilight Wings, also served as the art director on this Aniplex-produced music video.
Finally, the CD release of the single “Boku ga Motteru Mono nara” is scheduled in Japan for February 24th. The group also inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures studios, and released in January 2020.
Synopsis for 7/22
One day, Miu Takigawa receives a letter notifying her that she has been selected to be part of a new project. Without waiting long, she goes to the agreed location and there she discovers that seven other girls have also been chosen. They are all taken to a secret facility and told that, on orders from "El Muro", they must form an idol group.
