Gunslinger Girl Author To Launch New Manga In February
In this year's second issue of Hakusensha publisher's Young Animal magazine, it was revealed that author Yu Aida (Gunslinger Girl) will begin publishing a new manga titled Yuuki Aru Mono Yorichire (Those with Courage, Come and Give Your Lives ), in the fifth edition of the magazine that will be published in Japan on February 26.
The magazine promotes the manga with the text: «An immortal girl. An ancient warrior who could not die. They both long for death. How will their lives burn? A Meiji Era story about the meaning of life! " In fact, Aida had already mentioned in November 2020 that she was working on a new series.
On the other hand, Aida is also the author of the Gunslinger Girl manga, which he published through Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine between May 2002 and September 2012, with a total of 15 compilation volumes. The play inspired a thirteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse Studios and released in October 2003, followed by a thirteen-episode second season produced by Artland Studios and released in January 2008.
