Hatsune Miku reveals details of her upcoming online concert
The fundraising campaign for the realization of the event "HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online" has finally closed and reached a spectacular 245% of the original goal of the project. The initial goal of 25 million yen (about $ 240,000) was exceeded within just nine hours of its opening, and the Kickstarter campaign was closed with a total of 61,265,492 yen (about $ 588,000) and 3,588 donors. This is more than enough to complete all the additional goals, and will allow for an augmented reality concert experience that will be enjoyed this summer. The main illustration for the event was done by Ryota.
Thus, the event starring the popular Vocaloid virtual idol, Hatsune Miku, entitled "HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online", is scheduled to take place in early June 2021, with the specific date being revealed soon. The event includes an augmented reality concert event starring Hatsune Miku and other Piapro characters, as well as a free broadcast both inside and outside of Japan.
Additionally, the event also includes some sub-events, such as the “MIKU EXPO Digital Stars 2021 Online”, which is an online exhibition event for professional artists inside and outside Japan; the “#MikuWorldGallery,” an exhibition of fan-submitted illustrations; and “LET’S PAINT 3.0”, an online project that will allow fans to design their own 3D model of Hatsune Miku.
Finally, the music video for the title track of “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online”, titled “Highlight”, has been released through YouTube. The theme was composed by KIRA, the illustrations by Ekkoberry and the video was produced by Riguruma.
A specific illustration for the “MIKU EXPO Digital Stars 2021 Online” sub-event was also posted, and it was done by Tsunako.
