A new chapter has been written in the war against hentai. According to a series of posts on Twitter, the popular nhentai website was reported to have been blocked in France. This site is one of the largest libraries of adult manga available on the internet, and it is the basis of so-called “nuclear codes” since its galleries are cataloged according to a unique ID.
According to the publications, when you try to access the website from a location in France, a message appears on the screen informing you that the site you are trying to access contains “child pornography” and that, consequently, it has been blocked.
“When you try to access nhentai or websites of this type in France without the use of a VPN, you are apparently redirected to a government website with the message 'We are protecting the victims of abuse shown in the images of the website you tried to access' ”.
According to other comments, a law passed in France some years ago has considered lolis to be child pornography, and since the site in question certainly has content of that type, it seems to be the reason why it has been blocked. It is worth mentioning that France is one of the countries with the highest consumption of manga in the global market.
