Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun light novels exceed 1.2 million copies in circulation
Through the official Twitter account of the editor in charge, the Gagaga Bunko publishing house of the Shogakukan publishing house reported that the series of light novels written by Yuuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly, Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki ), have exceeded 1.2 million copies in circulation.
For their part, Yaku and Fly began publishing the light novels through Shogakukan publisher in May 2016. The publisher published the eighth volume in October 2018, followed by an intermediate volume (8.5) in April 2020. A manga adaptation by Eight Chida is published through Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine, with three compiled volumes to date.
The play is inspiring a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Project No.9 studios, directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and scripts written by Fumihiko Shimo, which will premiere in Japan on January 8.
