During the sixth episode of the radio show dedicated to the original anime Kamisama ni Natta Hi (The Day I Became a God), voice actors Natsuki Hanae and Ayane Sakura briefly commented on the recent disappearance of creator Jun Maeda from public life. At around 30:40 into the show, the actors commented that it was customary to read a message from Maeda, but this time there was no such thing.
The actors exchanged the following dialogues:
Sakura: Well then, Maeda-san left a message this time again. Hanae: Oh, did she? Wait, he didn't! Sakura: It can't be! Hanae: Yes, there is no message today. Aww, how sad. Sakura: Aww, what a crybaby you are, Natsuki-chan. Hanae: I'm very sad. Sakura: Don't spread your snot everywhere! Don't take advantage of the situation for that! .. But anyway, there's no message today. Hanae: He must be busy. Sakura: I wonder if his hands are full right now. Hanae: Or maybe he's finally taking a break ? Sakura: Wow, apparently he's missing right now. Hanae: Oh, I see… Sakura: Yes. Hanae: Well… Sakura: Well, we'll keep waiting patiently for Maeda-san's return. Hanae: We'll wait. Please Maeda-san, take things at your own pace. We wish him the best Sakura: Yes! (awkward laughs) Hanae: It sure is weird that voice actors say that kind of thing Sakura: Completely ...
It should be mentioned that Jun Maeda's personal Twitter account (@jun_owakon) remains deactivated as of the writing of this article. Fans cannot explain their decision to walk away from social media, although some theorize it could be due to multiple complaints about the narrative development of Kamisama and Natta Hi. Finally, the original series premiered on October 10 in Japan and had a total of twelve episodes. The distribution rights remained in the hands of the Funimation platform.
