Souichirou Yamamoto began publication of the original manga, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi-san), through Shogakukan publisher's Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine in June 2013. The publisher published the fourteenth compiled volume in August 2020 in Japan.

On the other hand, the spin-off manga Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san has been published via Shogakukan's Manga One service since July 2017.
