On the official Twitter account for the manga written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda, Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu (Komi Can’t Communicate), a special promotional video for the release of the twentieth compilation volume was posted. The video features the theme "Dramatic", performed by the rock band CIDER GIRL.
For his part, Oda began publishing the manga in May 2016 through Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. The publisher published the eighteenth compilation volume on September 18, followed by the nineteenth on November 18 in Japan.
A recent rumor that emerged through the Weibo social network in China ensured the production of an anime adaptation, and although the leak comes from a completely trusted account, it has not yet been officially confirmed.
