During the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online event, the Konami company announced that it is developing two video games based on the manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, Edens Zero. The first is a 3D action RPG for consoles and the second will be an RPG for smartphones.
Mashima has been publishing the manga in Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine since June 2018. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume on June 17. It is worth mentioning that in mid-June, the author confirmed that this manga will inspire an anime adaptation, however, no production details or release date have been revealed.
The play is also inspiring an anime adaptation produced by J.C. Staff, directed by Shinji Ishihara and scripts written by Mitsutaka Hirota, scheduled to premiere in April 2021.
