On the official Twitter account for the manga written and illustrated by Makoto Isshiki, Lady Law to Nanoka no Mori, it was announced that the work has been put on indefinite hiatus due to the author's health having declined considerably.
The manga had announced in this year's 38th issue of Kodansha publishing house's Morning magazine that it would have a new chapter in 40th issue on September 3, however, it was not. The Twitter account specified that the resumption date will be revealed later. On the other hand, the publication of the Lady Law to Nanoka no Mori manga began in this year's 24th issue of the magazine, on May 14.
Isshiki is also the author of the Piano no Mori manga, which she published in Kodansha publisher's Young Magazine Uppers between August 1998 and November 2015. The publisher compiled the manga into a total of 26 volumes. This play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Gaina Studios, directed by Gaku Nakatani and scripts written by Mika Abe, released in April 2018. A twelve-episode second season premiered in January 2019.
