LiSA's single 'Homura' dominates the digital rankings for the sixth consecutive week
On Oricon's digital singles rankings, singer LiSA's new single, “Homura,” which is also the main theme song for the movie Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen, took the top spot on the chart again by sixth consecutive week. This is the third time this has happened, after the songs "Lemon" released in 2018 and "Uma to Shika" released in 2019, both performed by Kenshi Yonezu. Furthermore, LiSA is the first woman to achieve this achievement.
LiSA's “Homura” also topped Oricon's streaming digital rankings for the sixth consecutive week, and is the first single to maintain more than 10 million streaming views per week for five consecutive weeks. The single recorded 52,422 cumulative downloads in the week that elapsed from November 16 to 22 according to the Oricon rankings, and has been downloaded a total of 574,458 times since its release.
The single was released on October 14 in Japan and sold 68,000 copies in its first week. LiSA is now the first artist to top these charts for three consecutive weeks in twelve years and ten months, since the band SMAP achieved the same achievement with the single “Dangan Fighter” in January 2008.
