Love Live !: The song ‘Snow Halation’ turns ten

On December 22, 2010, the second single from the musical unit μ’s of the Love Live! Multimedia project “Snow Halation” was released in Japan. This song was later used as the ending theme for the ninth episode of the second season of the Love Live! Anime. School Idol Project, in 2014. This single was released in celebration of Christmas, and was also included as part of the solo albums “μ’s Best Album Best Live! Collection ".

Written by Hata Aki, composed by Yamada Takahiro and arranged by Nakanishi Ryousuke, "Snow Halation" is perhaps the best known song from μ’s and Love Live! overall on the internet, and the formation of the music video was decided in a vote, with Honoka Kousaka coming in first place, followed by Umi Sonoda and Nozomi Tojo. All three form a triangle in the choreography, where Nozomi takes the back center position, being naturally confused with the main center position.

“Snow Halation” is one of the most referenced songs on the Internet by Love Live !, for example, in the music videos of the popular YouTube user, SiIvaGunner, who publishes the “rips” with mixes between video game soundtracks and this song.
