Mahoutsukai no Yome goes back on hiatus for another month

On the official Twitter account for the manga written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus' Bride), it was announced that the work will not have a new chapter in this year's third issue of Monthly Comic Garden magazine. from Mag Garden publishing house, which will be launched on February 5. This will then be the second month in a row that the manga goes on hiatus.

The statement assured readers that Yamazaki is not ill, but that she and her editor are planning new logistics for the manga, in light of the new state of emergency over the COVID-19 pandemic. The draft of chapter 75 (the next to be published) is already finished and work will resume in March.

Yamazaki began publishing the manga in Mag Garden publisher's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in November 2013, and moved it to Monthly Comic Garden magazine in September 2014, where it is still published. The publisher published the fourteenth compiled volume on September 10 in Japan.

The play inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Wit Studio, directed by Norihiro Naganuma and screenplays written by Aya Takaha, released in October 2017.
