As previously announced, MAPPA studies will carry out a special event entitled "MAPPA Showcase 10th Anniversary" as part of the tenth anniversary of its foundation. This exhibition will be held at the Tokyo Anime Center between September 25 and November 14 of this year.
Some are sure that during this exhibition, more details will be revealed on upcoming studios, including the adaptation to the anime of Chainsaw Man, however, there is nothing confirmed. What is certain is that a series of valuable production materials will be exposed and new products inspired by different franchises of the studies will be put on sale.
In fact, in a recent update, studies published four exclusive illustrations that will inspire a series of limited edition products that will be available for acquisition during the event. The illustrations are based on SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN franchises: The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, Zombieland Saga and Re-Main.
The studies were founded on June 14, 2011 by Masao Maruyama, a founder and producer of Madhouse studios. Maruyama retired from MAPPA in April 2016 and founded another study, Studio M2. On the other hand, MAPPA studies have been involved in multiple animated productions, including Sakamichi No Apollon (Kids on the Slope), ZANKYOU NO TERROR (Terror in Resonance), Yuri !!! ON ICE, KONE SEKAI NO KATASUMI NI (IN THIS CORNER OF THE WORLD), KAKEGURUI, BANANA FISH, JUJUTSU Kaisen, Zombieland Saga and the final season of Shingaki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Its headquarters is established in Tokyo, Japan.
