On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrated by Ryouji Minagawa, Spriggan, a new promotional image of the project was published.
The series will premiere globally through the Netflix platform in 2021. On the other hand, Minagawa and Takashige published the Spriggan manga in the Shounen Sunday Super magazine of the Shogakukan publisher between February 1989 and January 1996, the publisher he compiled the work in a total of eleven volumes.
- Hiroshi Kobayashi (Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, Kill la Kill) is directing the anime at David Production Studios.
- Hiroshi Seko (Shingeki no Kyojin, Mob Psycho 100, Jujutsu Kaisen) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Shuuhei Handa (Little Witch Academia) is in charge of character design.
Many years ago, an ancient civilization ruled the Earth. They had very advanced technology, but were destroyed in the end due to the misuse of their creations. These people left hidden messages for future generations in the form of indestructible plaques written in an ancient language. Now, various armed organizations have secretly begun searching for these artifacts to use for their own good and against their enemies. The ARCAM Corporation tries to stop these evil forces and prevent them from self-destructing each other with these advanced machines. The main character of the story is Yu Ominae, one of the elite agents working for ARCAM under the name of the Spriggans.
