After his collaboration with the magazine Weekly Shonen Champion of Akita Shoten, the popular Japanese professional cosplayer Enako announced that a full version of the "Wild Kick" photographs will be launched, the cover of an adult magazine presented in the animated adaptation of Beastars.
The first photograph was used in the original collaboration and is a "live-action" version of the cover of the magazine for adults shown both in the manga and at the anime of Beastars. The launch is scheduled for next May 31 in Japan.
For its part, Itagaki began the publication of the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Champion of the Editorial Akita Shoten in September 2016 and ended it in October 2020. The publisher published the twenty-first compilation volume in October 2020, followed by the twenty second second and final in January 2021.
The work inspired an adaptation to the anime of twelve episodes produced by the Orange studies, under the direction of Shinichi Matsumi and scripts written by Nanami Higuchi, premiered in October 2019. A second season is currently in broadcast.
Synopsis of Beastars
In a world populated by anthropomorphic animals, herbivores and carnivores coexist among themselves. For adolescents of the Cherryton Academy, school life is full of hope, romance, distrust and concern. The main character of this story is the Lobo Regoshi, a member of the Theater Club. Despite the threatening aspect of him, he has a very soft heart and character. Throughout most of him, he has always been the object of fear and hatred on the part of the other animals and has been accustomed to that lifestyle. But soon, he is increasingly involved with his classmates who have their own insecurities and realize that his life at school will give an important turn.
