The Nexon company announced that the smartphone game based on the light novels written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (KonoSuba!), Entitled Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Fantastic Days. It will be released globally for iOS and Android devices in 2021.
The role-playing game was released in Japan for iOS and Android devices on February 27 and features an original story, a full voiceover, and a few other additional characters. For its part, Akatsuki began publishing the light novels with illustrations by Kurone Mishima in 2013. The work inspired two anime adaptations released in January 2016 and January 2017, respectively.
An animated film titled Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shikufuku wo! Kurenai Densetsu premiered in Japan in August 2019. The novels have also inspired numerous manga adaptations, including the main series by Masahito Watari and published in Fujimi Shobo publisher's Monthly Dragon Age magazine since September 2014.
Synopsis of KonoSuba!
The original story centers on Kazuma, a hikkikomori who dies in a road accident and who meets the goddess Aqua in the afterlife. The goddess offers him the opportunity to reincarnate in a fantasy world and take anything with him. After receiving enough taunts, Kazuma chooses to take Aqua with him, so she is dragged to the new world as well. Kazuma will then begin her life as an adventurer, accompanied by Aqua.
