Author Imaru Adachi revealed the cover of the fifth compiled volume of his manga adaptation of the light novels written by Shimesaba and illustrated by Booota, Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou (I Shaved. Then I Brought a High School Girl Home). This volume will be released in Japan on March 26.
On the other hand, the light novels written by Shimesaba and illustrated by Booota have been published through Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko publishing house since February 2018. The publisher published the fifth volume on December 26 in Japan. Adachi has been publishing the manga adaptation through Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine since November 2018.
The play is inspiring an anime adaptation produced by Project No.9 studios, directed by Manabu Kamikita and scripts written by Deko Akao, scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 5.

Clerk Yoshida has been in love with his co-worker, Airi Gotou, for five years. Despite finally getting a date with her, her confession is quickly rejected. Drunk and disappointed, he staggers home, only to find a high school girl sitting on the side of the road. The girl, who needs a place to spend the night, tries to seduce Yoshida who, despite refusing her advances, invites her to his apartment.The next morning, the girl, introducing herself as Sayu Ogiwara, reveals that she has run away from him. Hokkaido to Tokyo. During their six-month spree, she continually traded sexual favors for a roof over her head. Yoshida, however, is not convinced by her seduction. Instead, he asks her to do a different kind of work, one that involves washing dishes and doing laundry. And so begins a heartwarming relationship between a heartbroken adult and a runaway high school girl.
