The manga Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru exceeds 800 thousand copies in circulation
A special illustration for the manga written and illustrated by Souichirou Yamamoto, Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru (Even so, Ayumu draws closer to the endgame) was revealed in a leak of this year's seventh issue of Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine. . The image, in addition to commemorating the anime adaptation, also reveals that the series has exceeded 800 thousand accumulated copies in circulation.
Yamamoto began publishing the manga as a webcomic titled Shougi no Yatsu in 2018 and published through his personal Twitter account. Subsequently, it began its publication through Kodansha publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2019. The publisher published the fifth compilation volume on October 16, and will publish the sixth on January 15.
The work has an anime adaptation confirmed for the year 2022, becoming Souichirou Yamamoto's second manga to be adapted into animation. The first was Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi-san), with two seasons to date.
