The second volume Blu-ray / DVD compilation of the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Take, Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai !, was reported to have accumulated a total of 1,411 copies sold within a week of its release in Japan.
The volume was put on sale in Japan on November 25 and includes the fifth to eighth episodes of this first season. The Blu-ray edition is priced at 14,300 yen ($ 137) while the DVD edition is priced at 12,100 yen ($ 116). The report did not distinguish between the quantity sold for each edition, and only showed the final sum.
Furthermore, Take has been publishing the manga on Fujimi Shobo publisher's Niconico Seiga website since December 2017. The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by ENGI studios, under the direction of Kazuya Miura and scripts written by Takashi Aoshima, which premiered on July 10 on Japanese television. Despite some controversy, the production of a second season is confirmed.
