In the sixth edition of this year of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine magazine, it was revealed that the Sleeve written and illustrated by Ken Akamatsu, UQ Holder!, Will reach its end within nine chapters.
Akamatsu began the publication of the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine of the Kodansha Editorial in August 2013, and moved it to the magazine Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 2016. The publisher published twenty-fourth compilation volume on November 9, followed by the twenty-fifth On March 9 in Japan.
The work inspired an adaptation to the anime of three episodes in OAD format produced by the J.C.Staff studies, under the direction of Youhei Suzuki, premiered in September 2017. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in October of the same year.
Synopsis of UQ Holder!
Touta Konoe, the grandson of Negi Springfield, aspires to leave his people and live a new life in Shin-Tokyo, which has a tower structure that rises to space. When he is injured of death by a hunter who pursues the life of his guardian, Yukihime, he discovers that he has been turned into an immortal vampire by Yukihime, who is actually the 700-year-old vampire, Evangeline A.K. McDowell. Collecting another boy named Kuromaru on the road, the three go to a place on the outskirts of Shin-Tokyo, where Yukihime leads a secret society of immortals known as "UQ Holder".
