Different press releases reported that the written sleeve and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura, Vinland Saga, has exceeded 5.5 million cumulative circulation copies between all twenty-four compilation volumes published to date. The Kodansha publisher, for its part, also revealed the cover of the twenty-fifth compilation volume, which will be put on sale in Japan on July 21.
Yukimura began the publication of the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine of the Kodansha publishing house in April 2005, and later he moved it to Monthly Afternoon magazine in December 2005.
