In a new update in the official Twitter account of the written sleeve and illustrated by Ken Wakui, Tokyo Revengers, it was confirmed that the work has exceeded 17 million cumulative circulation copies. The message wrote: «Right now, the sales department has again contacted me informing me about a new mass reprint of all volumes. The accumulated copies have now exceeded 17 million. I do not know what is happening, will all this be a bug? Thank you very much to all the readers! ».
Just before the anime premiere, the official Twitter account of the franchise revealed at the end of March that the series had 10 million cumulative circulation copies. Recently, the Editorial Department of Kodansha assured that the literary franchise has increased its sales 6.7 times as far as it sold before the premiere (according to the Estimates of the publishing house), with an estimated 2.4 volumes sold per second.
Wakui began the publication of the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine of the Editorial Kodansha in March 2017. An adaptation to the anime produced by the studios Liden Films, under the direction of Koichi Hatsumi and scripts written by Yasuyuki Muto, is currently in broadcast in Japan.
