Synopsis of Totsukuni no Shoujo
Long ago, there was a God of Light and a God of Darkness. While the devotees of the God of Light experienced happiness and good fortune, the God of Darkness deceived people and robbed them of their joy. And so, as the legend says, the God of Light decided to punish him by turning him into a monster. Enraged by this, the God of Darkness exercised his punishment as a curse to inflict suffering on others. Due to his actions, he was banished to the Outside, where he and his monstrous children will remain for eternity, while the Insiders must never come into contact with someone from the Outside, if they don't want to be cursed in a hideous form. Little girl named Shiva, an Inner dweller, is found by an Outer dweller who comes to know as Sensei. Although they cannot touch, Sensei cares for Shiva to the best of his ability, and together they live a moderately happy life. But soon, Shiva is not only in danger from the Outside, but also from his own kind.
