In November 2020, Jun Maeda and P.A.WORKS 'original anime, Kamisama ni Natta Hi (The Day I Became a God), was beaten by critics inside and outside of Japan for making a mistake in its production. It turns out that the background scene in a short scene had been taken directly from Google Maps and arranged for presentation, however the team did not remove the “© 2019 Google” watermark.

A similar situation was detected in the second episode of the second season of Yuru Camp (Laid-Back Camp), where you can also notice a Google watermark in the upper left corner of the stage.

According to the Japanese, it is not uncommon for real sets to be converted to anime sets after some design fixes. However, this should not be confused with "inspired settings", where, for example, settings are recreated from scratch based on real life locations. However, although they are approved techniques, fans believe that it would not hurt to look at these details that, in the end, end up becoming negative points for the production.

Yuru Camp Synopsis

While the perfect getaway for most girls her age might be an extravagant vacation with loved ones, Rin Shima's ideal way is to camp alone at the base of Mount Fuji. From pitching her tent to collecting firewood, she has always done everything herself and has no plans to leave her lonely little world. However, what starts out as one of Rin's usual camping sessions somehow ends up as a surprise reunion for two when the lost Nadeshiko Kagamihara is forced to take refuge in her camp. Originally with the intention of seeing the picturesque view of Mount Fuji for herself, Nadeshiko's plans are interrupted when she ends up falling asleep in the middle of her fate. Alone and with no other option, she seeks the help of the only close person. Despite their hasty introductions, the two girls enjoy the cold night together, eating ramen and chatting while the campfire keeps them warm. And even after Nadeshiko's sister finally picked her up later that night, both girls silently pondered the possibility of going on another camping trip together.
