On the official site for the manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao, 100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru (I'm standing on 1,000,000 lives), it was announced that the work has surpassed 1.6 million copies in accumulated circulation.
Naoki Yamanaka and Akinari Nao began publishing the manga in Kodansha publisher's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in July 2016. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume on September 9, and will publish the eleventh on December 9 in Japan.
The play is inspiring a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Maho Film Studios, directed by Kumiko Habara and scripts written by Takao Yoshioka, currently airing in Japan since October 2.
