Sakisaka is the author of the manga Ao Haru Ride, which she published in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine between January 2011 and February 2015, compiling the story in thirteen volumes in total. The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Production I.G Studios, directed by Ai Yoshimura and scripts written by Tomoko Konparu, released in July 2014.
Subsequently, a two-episode OVA with the same production team was also released in August 2014, followed by a live-action film directed by Takahiro Miki, released in December 2014.
