The opening of an official site confirmed the production of an anime adaptation of the manga written by Saizou Harawata and illustrated by Yoshio Pierre, Deatte 5-byou from Battle. The statement did not reveal production details or a release date.

Harawata and Pierre began publishing the manga on Shogakukan publisher's Ura Sunday site in August 2015. The publisher published the fourteenth compiled volume on June 18, and will publish the fifteenth on November 19 in Japan. The work also reported having exceeded two million cumulative copies in circulation.

Deatte 5-byou Synopsis from Battle

It was just a normal morning… Akira Shiroyanagi, a high school student who loves video games and sweets, has suddenly been dragged onto the battlefield by a mysterious girl who calls herself Mion. The participants are told that they were erased from the family registry, involved in an experiment, and assigned certain powers. Akira is then determined to win the game with his new powers and destroy everyone who got him into this big trouble. Armed with a power no one would expect and your brain strategist abilities, the new period of intelligence battle begins!
