Today in "Amazing Internet Things," a woman braved flooding in Chongqing, China and burst from the second-floor window of her own home to rescue the prized collection of Gunpla models (the Mobile Suit Gundam models) from her husband, who couldn't swim. A strong swimmer, who suffered cuts to her hands in the process, but all the boxes were recovered unharmed.
Chongqing is a Chinese municipality surrounded by the Yangtze and Jialing rivers in southwestern China, which is facing its biggest flood season in 40 years. Local officials have issued a world-class emergency response, the highest alert on the four-tier scale, for the first time during these unprecedented floods.
