Different media from Japan and China have circulated a photograph taken of a promotional banner announcing a collaboration between the video game developed by miHoYo, Genshin Impact, and the fast food restaurant chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). The collaboration will begin on March 8 and a redemption code for the application will be included as a purchase benefit in the target product.
It should be noted that the restaurant chain has not confirmed the information, so it is not clear if it will be a collaboration only limited to China or if it will expand to other countries soon, given the global popularity of the video game. The free-to-play game developed and distributed by miHoYo was released for iOS and Android devices, as well as for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows globally on September 28. The "Update 1.3" has been available since last February 3 at a global level and the video game achieved the first position in accumulated collection in the year 2020.

In a world called Teyvat, certain individuals chosen by the gods are given "Vision", magical gems that give their bearers the ability to control an element. The player begins as a traveler of unknown origin searching for a lost relative, and can choose between a male or female avatar of the Traveler. As the adventure progresses, the player controls various other characters the Traveler encounters during his journey, each with unique personalities and abilities, as they undertake missions to understand the truth behind the primordial gods of this world.
