Love Live! announces a new video game for PlayStation 4

On the official Twitter account of the Love Live! Multimedia project, it was announced that Square Enix will develop a version for PlayStation 4 of the arcade game Love Live! School idol festival ~ after school ACTIVITY ~. The statement included a promotional video.

The original game was announced in November 2015, and was subsequently released in arcade centers in Japan on December 6, 2016. The Aqours group was announced to be included in the release on October 20, 2017, and was added to the update Love Live! School Idol Festival: After School Activity Next Stage held on December 6, 2018.

About Love Live!

It is a multimedia project created by ASCII Media Works Dengeki G’s Magazine, Lantis music label and Sunrise animation studio. The project centers on a group of nine high school students who decide to become an idol group to save their school from closure. The project was announced in the August 2010 issue of the magazine, and since then CDs, anime series, music videos, manga and video games have been produced.

The first generation of Love Live! was made up of the nine-member group called μ’s (pronounced muse), made up of the following voice actresses:

  • Emi Nitta as Honoka Kousaka.
  • Aya Uchida as Kotori Minami.
  • Suzuko Mimori as Umi Sonoda.
  • Yuriko Kubo as Hanayo Koizumi.
  • Riho Iida as Rin Hoshizora.
  • Pile like Maki Nishikino.
  • Sora Tokui as Nico Yazawa.
  • Aina Kusuda as Nozomi Tojo.
  • Yoshino Nanjou as Eli Ayase.

The project was widely promoted for its thirteen episode anime adaptation, produced by Sunrise Studios, directed by Takahiko Kyougoku and scripts written by Jukki Hanada, released in January 2013; and followed by another thirteen episode season released in April 2014.
