On the official site for the animated adaptation of the light novels written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, an update was posted with a new “SOS Brigade member activity schedule”. This update is also included in the back of the twelfth volume of the series, titled Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokkan (Haruhi Suzumiya's Intuition), which will be released in Japan on November 25.
In a message on the website he says: “This is not fiction, it is not fiction! Something will start next November 25! ". Clicking on the text displays a voice recording by Haruhi Suzumiya (voiced by Aya Hirano), giving a preview of the new “activity”. Below is an announcement of a special concert by the fictional band ENOZ (the band that performed at the Cultural Festival), which will take place on November 28 at 4:00 p.m. in Japan.
Tanigawa and Ito published the light novels through Kadokawa publishing house between 2003 and 2011 with a total of eleven volumes. The play inspired a fourteen episode anime adaptation (28 on broadcast) produced by Kyoto Animation Studios, directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and scripts written by Yasuhiro Takemoto, released in April 2006.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu Synopsis
Kyon, the typical high school student, has never believed in the supernatural. However, after meeting Haruhi Suzumiya, he quickly realizes that she is quite interested in topics such as aliens, time travelers, and special powers. As Haruhi laments about the lack of cool things at school, Kyon inspires her to form hers of hers. This results in the creation of the "SOS Brigade", a club that specializes in the search for the supernatural. Much to his regret, Kyon, along with the bookworm Yuki Nagato, the shy Mikuru Asahina and the smiling Itsuki Koizumi , are recruited as the first members of the club.
