On April 6, 2021 marks the fifth anniversary of the premiere of manga animated adaptation written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, Bungou Stray Dogs. The first season premiered in Japan on April 6, 2016, and this also started this animated franchise.
Asagiri and Harukawa publish the manga in the magazine Young Ace from the Editorial Kadokawa since December 2012. The work inspired an adaptation to the anime of twelve episodes produced by the BONES studies, under the direction of Takuya Igarashi and scripts written by Youji Enokido, premiered In April 2016. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in October 2016, followed by a third season of twelve episodes premiered in April 2019.
The franchise also had a feature film entitled Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple, premiered in March 2018 in Japan. Finally, the SPIN-OFF manga written by Neco Kanai, Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! Inspired an adaptation to the anime premiered in January 2021.
Synopsis of Bungou Stray Dogs
For weeks, the orphanage where ATSushi Nakajima resides has been plagued by a mystic tiger that only he seems to be aware. Suspected of being behind the strange incidents, the 18-year-old girl is suddenly expelled from the orphanage and is left hungry, homeless and wandering around the city. Summer dying on a river bank, ATSushi prevents a man Pretty eccentric named Osamu Dazai drown.
