The first volume of Jujutsu Kaisen exceeds 800 thousand copies sold

The Japanese portal Oricon published the weekly sales ranking of individual manga volumes for the week between November 9 and 15, 2020. The first compilation volume of the manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen, totaled 50,137 copies sold , accumulating 808,066 copies sold accumulated since its publication.

Akutami began publishing the manga in Shueisha publisher's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. The publisher published the twelfth compiled volume on August 4, followed by the 13th on October 2.

The play is inspiring an anime adaptation currently on air and confirmed with a total of 24 episodes, produced by MAPPA studios under the direction of Sunghoo Park and scripts written by Hiroshi Seko.

Jujutsu Kaisen Synopsis

Yuuji Itadori is a high school student with exceptional physical abilities. Every day, as a routine, he goes to the hospital to visit his sick grandfather and decides to join the institute's occult club so as not to give a stick to the water ... However, one fine day the seal of the talisman that was hidden in his institute it breaks, and monsters begin to appear. Faced with this turn of events, Itadori decides to enter the institute to save his companions. What will fate bring you?
