During a special transmission entitled Type-Moon Times Vol. 2, a new promotional video was published for the novel Visual Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, the Remake of the Visual Novel of Type-Moon, Tsukihime.
It was also announced that the videogame will have a limited edition. This includes a cover carried out by Takashi Takeuchi, the co-founder of Type-moon, and a one hundred pages brochure entitled "Tsukihime Material I: Material of Blue Glass Moon. The brochure will also be included digitally in the "limited digital edition" of the video game.
The title has its launch scheduled for next August 26 at the consoles PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, without plans yet for a launch in the West. On the other hand, Type-Moon's original game was released during the winter comic of the year 2000.
The project inspired a manga adaptation of Sasaki Shounen, which was published between August 2001 and July 2010, with a total of ten compilation volumes. Additionally, an adaptation to the anime entitled Shingetsutan Tsukihime, premiered in October 2003 and featured twelve episodes, being produced by the studios J.C.Staff, under the direction of Katsushi Sakurabi and scripts written by Hiroko Tokita.
- Kinoko Nasu returns to write the scenarios and direct the project, with Takashi Takeuchi also returning for the design of characters.
- Hirokazu Koyama takes care of the direction of art, with Takao Aoitsuki, Kaetsu, Shima-Udon and Sunatori-Otokou in charge of the graphics.
- Urushinohara takes care of the writing of history, while Hideyuki Fukasawa and Keita are in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.
- Reona will interpret the main musical theme entitled "Seimeisen", while Ufotable Studies will be in charge of encouraging the opening sequence.
Synopsis of tsukihime.
Shiki Toono suffered an injury that endangered his life when he was a child, and because of that incident he was sent away from the house of the Toonian family and delivered to a relative to raise him. Years later, when Shiki is in high school, the head of the Toonian family, the father of him, dies, and his sister Akiha, who is the new head of the family, ordered him to move from come back. However, Shiki has a great secret: from that injury, he has been seeing lines on the objects, and only with a couple of special glasses can stop seeing them. In addition, he is unable to remember anything about the times before his accident. Thus, the day he returns to the house is the day he meets a woman named Arcueid Brustud, whom he decaps in a temporary attack of madness. When she reappears the intact side of her and asks her to become her bodyguard, Shiki's journey will begin to discover the mysteries of her past.
