In this year's number 30 issue of the magazine Weekly Young Jump, it was announced that the wrought-out-wrought-outlined sleeve, Golden Kamuy, will enter an extended pause. Serialization will be resumed until the 35th edition of the magazine, scheduled for next July 29 in Japan. According to the announcement, "the author will use the rest for research and planning for three weeks, and the magazine itself will take a break from a week due to a next combined edition."
Noda began the publication of the manga through the magazine Weekly Young Jump of the publisher Shueisha since August 2014. The publisher published the twenty-fourth compilation volume in December 2020, followed by the twenty-fifth last March 18 in Japan.
The work has inspired an adaptation to the anime of three seasons that at the date accumulates thirty-six episodes and four ovas, produced by Geno Studio under the direction of Hitoshi Nanba and scripts written by Noboru Takagi. The three seasons of twelve episodes each premiered in April 2018, October 2018 and October 2020 in Japan.
Synopsis of Golden Kamuy
At the beginning of the 1900s, in Hokkaido, after the Russian-Japanese war, Saichi Sugimoto seeks tirelessly gold. Nicknamed "sugimito the immortal" by his acts of challenge to death in the battle, the former soldier seeks fortune to fulfill a promise that made his best friend before they killed him in action: to keep his family, especially at his Widow that needs treatment abroad by its deteriorated view. One day, a drunk partner tells Sugimoto the story of a man who murdered an Ainu group and stole a fortune in gold. Before the arrest of him by the police, he hid the gold somewhere in Hokkaido. The only track of its location is the coded map that tattooed on the bodies of its cell companions in exchange for a part of the treasure, in case they managed to escape and find it. I do not think much in history until it discovers the corpse of the Drunk with the same tattoos described in history. But before he can order the thoughts of him, a grizzly bear, the cause of the death of man, approaches sugimoto, determined to finish his food. He is saved by a young Ainu named Asirpa, whose father turned out to be one of the Ainu killed. With the Hunting Skills of Assirpa and the survival instincts of Sugimoto, the couple agrees to join forces and find the hidden treasure: one to recover what was legitimately from the people of him and the other to fulfill the last desire of the friend of he.
