Unohana began publication of the manga in Houbunsha publisher's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in February 2016 and ended it in August 2020. The publisher published the fourth compiled volume in July 2019.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Doga Kobo Studios, directed by Masako Sato and scripts written by Fumihiko Shimo, released in October 2018. To date, there have been no indications of production of a second season. , mainly due to the long pause between volumes.
